Dr. Michelle Hamilton is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine with over 15 years of clinical experience in San Luis Obispo. Born and raised locally, she has been voted the #1 acupuncturist in SLO County by The New Times for five consecutive years —a testament to her expertise, care, and community connection.
Under her leadership, Zen Den has flourished into a trusted wellness hub, grossing over $500,000 annually, serving hundreds of clients through personalized acupuncture and integrative care.
Michelle holds a Doctorate in Oriental Medicine from Pacific College (2021), plus a Master’s from Emperor’s College of Oriental Medicine. She interned at UCLA’s Orthopedic Medical Clinic, graduated with academic honors, and has completed advanced training in women’s health, fertility, pregnancy, pediatrics, pain conditions, and orthopedic acupuncture.
As a mentor and teacher, she’s developed digital courses, CEU classes, and founded the Community Acupuncture School and Lunar Acupuncture Method. Michelle is also a sought-after speaker at national and international acupuncture conferences.
Beyond her clinical and teaching commitments, Michelle is a competitive endurance athlete—a two-time overall marathon winner and 100-mile ultramarathon second place finisher and most recently won her PRO card in bodybuilding.
